CEO Brett Jaffe reports: “2019 was a year of great change for Ohio Blow Pipe, and we are excited how the changes will positively impact 2020. We have grown and restructured our organization and introduced award-winning products.

“Any great organization is built around a strong leadership, and OBP is pleased to have top-graded our team in all facets of the business. Rob Shoaff has joined us in our newly created role of Director of EHS & CI. He brings a wealth of experience and wonderful attitude to elevate our safety programs and ensure our work at our customers’ sites is done with an unwavering focus on safety. In addition, Kevin Wykoff, VP of Operations and Installation, has joined OBP in a new role to build upon the renowned reputation we have earned in our 88 years of business as the highest quality, NFPA-compliant waste and dust handling solution provider. Plant operations and a continuous improvement culture was bolstered with the hiring of Rich Hamilton as our new plant manager. Likewise, we have added to our engineering capabilities by promoting David Gilkes to VP of Engineering and hiring Andrew Winzer as OBP’s new Engineering Manager. None of this would have been possible without the solid foundation Ed Fakeris, prior President of OBP, created over the past 32 years. Ed has been and will continue to be a wonderful mentor in his shift to an advisory position at OBP.

As referenced in Jim Collins’ “Good to Great,” it starts with the right people, and with this team in place, OBP is poised to deliver results for all stakeholders. With a focus on our customers, we are enhancing solutions and developing new products. Our Core Monster® was selected as one of the top 12 products of the year at the 2019 CorrExpo in Denver. This high-output shredder eliminates material handling, disposal and freight costs associated with processing cores; see the video at http://tiny.cc/CoreMonster. Another new OBP product is our Dust Wizard® ambient air dust cleaner. The Dust Wizard is designed for the removal of dust contamination where direct source capture is difficult. We are very excited about the Dust Wizard, and you’ll be hearing more about it in the coming months. We look forward to showcasing all of our quality products at our booth at this year’s SuperCorrExpo in Orlando and hope to see you there.

“We are excited about 2020. The entire OBP team is focused on providing the best solutions to our customers’ needs. Most of all, we thank our customers for giving us more opportunities to focus on product development, making them more competitive in the marketplace.”
